Composition
The product is white or off-white powder. Each gram contains:
Amprolium Hydrochloride …………………………………………..200 mg
Excipient. qs………………………………………………………………………..1 g
Indications
Amprtong WSP 20% is intended for the treatment of coccidiosis in growing chicken and turkeys.
Dosage and administration
By oral administration.
The drug is given according to the following schedule:
-30 gm / 25 lit of water 5-7 days (usual outbreak).
-30 gm / 50 lit of water 5-7 days (mild outbreak).
-30 gm /100 lit of water 7-14 days (maintenance in all cases).
Note: Make drinking water fresh daily.
Contra indications
The use of Amprolium is prohibited from a laying age.
Do not administer to poultry whose eggs are intended for human consumption.
Do not administer to animals with impaired hepatic and/or renal functions.
Do not administer to turkeys before the age of 8 to 10 weeks.
Adverse reactions
Toxicity is observed only at high doses. CNS signs are caused by thiamine deficiency, which may be reversed by adding thiamine to the diet.
Side Effect
Overdosage of Amprolium can suppress weight gain in broilers and cause polyneuritis.
Long-term administration of Amprolium in high doses may result in thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency in
the host.
Special warnings
Not used in laying period for laying hens.
Withdrawal periods
Meat: 7 days.
Storage
Store in a cool and dry place below 30℃, protect from light.
Validity
3 years.
