DESCRIPTION:

It is a white suspension after shaking well.

It will become stratification after still stand.

COMPOSITION:

Each 10ml contains: Penicillin G Procaine USP with Aluminium Stearate injectable suspension. Equivalent to Penicillin G Procaine 3,000,000 I.U.

INDICATION:

Shipping fever syndrome, bronchitis, wound infections, trachetitis, navel infections, foot rot, and bacterial infections associated with pneumonia in cattle and calves.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

PPFTONG  is contraindicated in known cases of hypersensitivity to penicillins.

Do not inject intravenously or by the intrathecal route.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

PPFTONG is indicated for intramuscular administration to non-lactating cattle and for intramuscular administration to lactating cattle.

It is given by I.M. injection only. It should be shaken well before use. 500,000 I.U – 1,000,000 I.U each time in divided doses.

The recommended dose rate is 20,000I.U procaine penicillin/kg bodyweight, equivalent to 1 ml per 15 kg bodyweight.  If signs persist at 72 hours repeat the dose.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment

Cattle may be slaughtered for human consumption only 23 days from the last treatment.

Milk for human consumption must not be taken during treatment.

Milk for human consumption may only be taken from treated cows after 132 hours from the last treatment.

PACKING:

In a 50ml or 100ml glass bottle.

VALIDITY:

3 years.
