Follow in the Footsteps of the Heads of State and Understand the Wisdom of Water Governance

In winter, the Minjiang River surges relentlessly through Dujiangyan. On December 5, President Xi Jinping and French President Emmanuel Macron met here to exchange views on the millennium-old wisdom of "governing water for the benefit of the people". President Xi introduced the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project to the world, hailing it as "one of the earliest successful practices of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature". Its construction process reflects the Chinese nation's spirit of perseverance, courage in the face of hardships, and dedication to forging ahead.

On December 29th, our company's Overseas Affairs Department in Chengdu followed in the footsteps of the head of state, stopping at the Fish Mouth Levee, we were struck by the exquisite design of "diverting 40% of the water to the inner river and 60% to the outer river. The water management principle of "deepening the riverbed and building low weirs" provides us with a top-level methodology: "deepening the riverbed" means cultivating expertise, tapping into our own potential, and committing to providing more efficient veterinary drugs and more scientific solutions to aquaculture farmers at home and abroad; "building low weirs" means humility, inclusiveness, and a win-win approach.

The Feisha Weir's flood discharge and water diversion system further embodies the management wisdom of "following the natural flow"—only by clearing bottlenecks in cooperation, much like the dredging of the Minjiang River, can we achieve harmonious and efficient management of both water and drought.

This millennium-old water irrigation project bears witness to our initial aspirations. The mountains, rivers, and warmth serve as both a source of inspiration and a bridge for cooperation.
